Artist's Description
We have a lot of Grizzly Bears in the mountains of North America, and I think this will be the first of many that I will paint. I love color and use it to depict the personality of the subject I am painting, and I saw a flirty look in this bear's eyes, which I tried to capture. I love the fluidity of Alcohol Inks, and although I work mainly in watercolor, this medium releases the 'wild child' in me.

Maria exhibited an artistic flair from an early age but was discouraged by her parents to pursue an art career in favor of getting a proper job. Maria worked for many years in the travel industry, sparking a new passion to travel, which eventually took her to America.
